Background

The Kinihira Hospital is a public Hospital Located in Northern province, Rulindo district, and 60 Km from Kigali. It was founded in 2012. It has the capacity of 165 beds and offers a variety of outpatients & inpatients services, mentor-ship and oversight of health centers. It has 8 health centers, 14 health posts, and 1 private clinic. Kinihira Provincial Hospital has variable number of employees including Physicians (General practitioners and Specialists), Nurses and Midwives (A0 and A1), Allied health professionals, administrative professionals and Supports staff.

Since May 14th, 2014 Kinihira Hospital was upgraded to Provincial Hospital for all Northern Province approved by Cabinet meeting. We offer specialized curative and preventive healthcare in different specialties of Ophthalmology, Surgery, Pediatrics’, Gyneco &obstetrics and Internal Medicine. We are a health open research field and we offer evidence-based clerkship teaching of multidisciplinary health related fields including medical and post graduate trainees, specialized, general, hospital nursing, midwives, lab technicians, and other paramedical trainees.
